Sidelines, Spreadsheets, and Pokémon Cards

When I’m not working, my time is centered around the people and activities that keep me grounded, energized, and smiling. Above all else, I love spending time with my family. My husband, Alan, and our two children, Lorenzo and Hadlee, are truly my favorite people to be around. Our dog, Luna, is right there with us, joining in whenever she gets the chance. Whether we’re at home together or out and about, those everyday moments.. laughing, talking, and just being present are what I value most.

A big part of our family life revolves around our kids’ activities, especially sports. You’ll often find me on the sidelines cheering or sometimes coaching at games and practices, proudly watching Lorenzo and Hadlee do what they love. Attending their sporting events is something I never take for granted. It’s incredibly rewarding to see their confidence grow, celebrate their wins, and support them through challenges. Those moments remind me how important it is to show up and be involved.

Sports don’t stop with the kids, though. I love watching sports too, especially soccer and football. Whether I’m catching a game at home, following a season closely, or watching a big tournament, it’s something I truly enjoy and find relaxing. It’s often even better, sometimes slightly competitive, when shared with family and friends.

I also make time for reading whenever I can. Diving into a good book is one of my favorite ways to slow down and recharge. Whether it’s fiction that lets me escape into another world or a book that challenges the way I think, reading gives me a quiet moment just for myself. It’s a simple habit, but one that brings peace and perspective into my life.

Spending time with friends is another important part of my life outside of work. I love hanging out, catching up, and making memories- whether that’s over a casual dinner, a game night, or just good conversations. Those connections help keep life fun and meaningful.

When I’m looking for something a little more low-key, I turn to puzzles. There’s something calming and satisfying about working through a puzzle piece by piece. And finally, one of my more playful hobbies is collecting and hunting for Pokémon cards. Whether I’m searching for rare finds or organizing my collection, it’s a hobby that brings excitement, nostalgia, and a sense of fun.

Together, these activities- family time, sports, reading, friendships, and hobbies- are what fill my life outside of work and keep me feeling balanced and fulfilled.
