SECA Supports the Food Insecurity Fund
The State and University Employees Combined Appeal (SECA) is offering state employees the chance to make a one-time donation for hunger relief. The funds raised will be directed to food pantries based on the donor's zip code, ensuring that the contributions stay local and help address food insecurity in their community. This initiative is especially important as food pantries are facing increased demand due to the expiration of SNAP benefits, making it a crucial time to support those in need.

Emily's family is just one example. She has found herself standing in line at the local food pantry more often recently due to higher prices at the grocery store. Despite working full-time, her paycheck barely covers rent, childcare, and transportation. Emily is part of the ALICE population, and her family is one of many affected by this crisis.
