United Way brings communities together so everyone can thrive. We connect partners, donors and volunteers to solve problems right here in Sangamon and Menard Counties. Thanks to partners like you, we’re proud to positively impact the lives of thousands of people in our community.
TELLING OUR STORY OF IMPACT
We’re improving lives in our community, together. These tools and resources tell our story and support our partnership goals.
United Way of Central Illinois believes that a stronger community starts with seeing the full picture- and acting on it.
Too many of our neighbors are working hard and still falling short. They are ALICE- Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed- living above the poverty line but unable to afford the basics that most of us take for granted. They are our coworkers, our neighbors, the people who make our community run. And they deserve more than to simply get by.
That is why we mobilize people, organizations, and resources around the challenges that matter most- advancing Youth Opportunity, Healthy Communities, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency across Sangamon and Menard counties. We don't just respond to crisis. We work to prevent it, address its root causes, and build pathways to lasting stability for the families and individuals who need it most.
Every investment we make is locally driven, volunteer-guided, and focused on outcomes that move the needle. Because we don't just want people to survive- we want everyone in central Illinois to truly thrive.
United is the Way.
